Two young children were burnt to death in a fire which gutted a house on a farm near Steynsrus in the Free State this evening.
The cause of the accident and the series of events leading up to it remain uncertain and will form the subject of a South African Police Force investigation.
Netcare911 Paramedics were called to the scene and on arrival, found that a workers quarter’s had been razed to the ground.
The charred remains of two children were visible in the building. Both had been burnt beyond recognition.
