- SAWS
SAWDOS - Once again the SA Weather Service severe weather warnings are riddled with grammar and spelling mistakes. (In the past the SAWDOS corrected the spelling mistakes on this web-page.) The SAWDOS marked the grammar errors accordingly in yellow. We are not a grammatical organization but really grammar and spelling mistakes by the SA Weather Service is unforgivable in today's world of spell checkers.
It is time that the public take note of the poor quality of weather warnings issued by the SA Weather Service. If you really think that the SAWDOS is exaggerating you are most welcome to take a look at past weather warnings. You can then decide for yourself. Previous weather warnings can be viewed HERE.
Severe weather warnings of late by the SAWS leave much to be desired and is deteriorating on a weekly basis. The SAWS pride itself as the only organization to issue weather warnings but yet they issue confusing and incorrect warnings which is riddled with spelling and grammar mistakes. Makes one think whether one can rely on there weather warnings.
NOTE: My first language is Afrikaans but I strive not to make grammar and spelling mistakes. The odd mistake is forgivable but surely the above justify severe criticism even if your first language is not English.
