Train hits Cape Town man

CAPE TOWN - A man died on Saturday, when he was hit by a train at the Vasco Station in Goodwood, Cape Town.

Officials said the man was sitting on the tracks when the train pulled into the station.

Cape Town Emergency Management Services spokesperson Keri Davids said paramedics declared the man dead upon their arrival.

Davids could not say why the man was sitting on the tracks.
