A pilot and his co-pilot have escaped injury after making an emergency landing in Cato Ridge.
The light aircraft clipped one of its wings on debris as it came in for a landing at an air strip at around 12pm today.
It spun out of control and landed in a nearby sugarcane field.
The Piper aircraft has been seriously damaged.
Netcare 911's Chris Botha says fortunately no one was hurt.
"SAP is on scene and have cordoned off the main area and are now waiting for the Civil Aviation Authority to come and investigate," he said.
