Yesterday afternoon (Friday 31 August), Station 30 Aghulas was called when galeforce winds threaten to sink chukkies in Struisbaai Harbour. Two had already broken their moorings and others were at risk of being swamped. Rescue volunteers worked for 2 hours using their 4.7m I&J Rescuer II to take crew out to these boats and then assisted them to get the boats out of the water.
