The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Somerset West Hailstorm 1 SEP 2012 - 01:45
This morning at 01:45 a massive hailstorm hit parts of Somerset West. The
photos above were taken at roughly 03:15 still showing allot of compact
hail. The roads were slippery and cars were skidding. Minutes before the
storm, the outside temperature dropped significantly.
Feel free to use them on the blog and Facebook group. The quality is rather
poor.
Kind Regards
