Johannesburg - Three children were killed and two people were injured when a shack caught fire in Vlakfontein, south of Johannesburg, emergency services said on Sunday.
Spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said the children were with their parents in the shack on Saturday when the fire started.
The parents survived the blaze and were taken to hospital for further medical care.
The cause of the fire was not known.
