SAWDOS was founded on the 8 October 2008 and here we are four years later, very much active and involved in many aspects of Severe Weather and Disaster Information and Education. Who must we thank for this? The public, news media, radio amateurs, other NGO's, roll players and SAWDOS Observers.
Let's all join hands for the year ahead and keep the SAWDOS Blog, SAWDOS Facebook Group and SAWDOS Twitter pages the most informative Weather and Disaster media in South Africa. With changing weather and threatening disasters it is imperative that we keep the public informed of what is happening out there. Remember that SAWDOS is a non-profitable organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE. SAWDOS is not a weather prediction service.
Once again to the many loyal and supportive members of the public, NGO'S, media, radio amateurs and SAWDOS Observers, who have carried the SAWDOS through the past four years, I would like to personally thank you all for the time and sacrifices you have made.
I look forward to the next year ahead and once again pledge for your loyal support.
