Cape Town - The SA weather office has issued a serious warning to residents of the Western Cape to expect heavy rain.
A forecaster said heavy rain was expected in the province, especially the Overberg and in parts of the Cape Winelands, Die Burger reported.
The heaviest rain would fall on Friday night and would continue on Saturday.
Rain was also forecast for the Eden area.
It was only expected to clear up on Sunday.
Gale force winds were expected on the West Coast.
