Two Workers Injured After Structural Collapse
Two workers have sustained serious injuries this afternoon after a building that they were demolishing in Paarden Eiland in Cape Town fell on them.
ER24 paramedics along with Life ALS responded to the scene and found the two workers had already been extricated from the rubble of bricks and found near to the incident. The paramedics assessed the patients and they were treated for suspected neck and back injuries and suspected broken bones. Advanced Life Support intervention was performed on the patients before they were transported to Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
