A fire destroyed a wood laminating factory in Waltloo on Sunday, Tshwane emergency services said.
"We have the fire under control but it will burn throughout the night because of all the wood in the factory," spokesman Johan Pieterse said.
"When we got here around 5.00pm, part of the roof had already caved in but now it has collapsed completely, making access very difficult."
Pieterse said the flames could be seen all across Pretoria and the fire had great spectator value.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire was still unknown.
