06h35 - Via 567 CapeTalk @CapeTalk567 - City of Cape Town fire services Theo Layne says Table Mountain fire under control. Residents who were evacuated overnight able to return home.
06h13 - A fire is currently burning on Table Mountain. The fire is fanned by a strong wind. Fire fighters are on the scene trying to extinguish the fire before it can spread. Currently no immediate danger to property although 30 houses were evacuated as a precautionary measure. Helicopters are currently on scene to dump water on the fire.
