Update on Western Cape roads
WESTERN CAPE NEWS - All the roads that are currently being upgraded by the Western Cape Department of Transport and Public Works will be opened for traffic during the 2012/2013 Festive Season.
The only exception is the road between Swellendam and Ashton (Route 60).
The reconstruction of that road will only be completed towards the end of February 2013. Motorists are advised to travel on the N-2 or Route 62 between Ashton and Montague.
Signage is erected in the Ashton|Swellendam area to direct motorists to the safest and quickest routes.
