About 65 Overberg firefighters will be working throughout the weekend to try and extinguish a fire in the mountains above Swellendam.
The blaze broke out on Thursday, but hot and windy conditions prevented crews from completely containing the fire.
Two helicopters are expected to water bomb the area on Saturday.
Overberg Fire Chief Reinard Geldenhuys said, “There will be teams. It will take us the whole weekend,” he said.
