Heavy rains that have hammered farms in the De Doorns area have also damaged roads in the region.
Rains and hailstorms have been lashing in the region since Tuesday leaving part of the N1 underwater.
While Emergency Services said the weather was clearing up, the Hex River Table Grape Association’s Boetie Kriel said some grape farms have been devastated.
“We had some rain. Wednesday we had lots of rain from 8 up to 38 and 60 millimeters, with a hailstorm. Some farms were really badly affected by the hail,” he said.
