The South African Weather Service on Sunday said temperatures in Cape Town would cool slightly next week.
It had been near heat wave conditions in the Mother City this weekend, with the mercury rising to 35 degrees in some parts of the Peninsula.
Next week will also be sunny, but meteorologist Henning Grobler said it would not be extremely hot.
“It’s still going to be warm but not as warm as it was this weekend. The temperatures are going to stabilise again and we expect rain on Friday,” he said.
