The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Detail: Valid for 14-01-2012 : Advisory: 1.Heavy rain is expected over northern parts on Monday. 2.Gale force (35kt or 65km/h) southerly winds are expected in places between Cape St Lucia and Maputo Bay Sunday night to Monday morning. 3.Very rough seas with wave heights exceeding 4.0m are expected between Cape St Lucia and Xai-Xai on Monday.
