Heavy rains have caused disruptions in East London.
The Buffalo City Traffic Department says a number of roads have been partially closed and should be avoided.
They are Settlers Way, Oxford Street, North East Express Way, Cambridge Street and Commercial Road.
East London residents are also posting on social media networks that their offices have been flooded and that they've suffered power outages as a result of the rain.
East London only received 13.4mm of rain up until 8AM, but it has been raining steadily in the city with more than 50 millimetres being recorded between 8AM and 11AM.
Other rainfall figures supplied by the SA Weather Service for between 8AM and 11AM on Thursday were Kidds Beach 20 mm, Bhisho 28 mm, Cathcart 44 mm, Queenstown 21 mm and Maclear 50 mm
There is a weather warning for heavy rain over the eastern parts of the province Thursday and Friday.
