CAPE TOWN – A fire that swept through the Overcome Height Informal Settlement near Seawinds at approximately 15:30 this afternoon, Wednesday 01 February 2012, resulted in the displacement of 60 people.
The City’s disaster response teams were on the scene this afternoon and provided the affected victims with food, blankets, clothing and building material.
No injuries were reported and all persons have been accounted for.
The cause of the fire is unknown. Authorities will investigate the incident.
