The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

Heavy Rain and Localized Flooding: Port Elizabeth (9 April 2012)

SAWDOS - The SAWDOS received several reports of heavy rain falling in the Port Elizabeth area. Several roads were flooded and further rain and flash flooding is expected in the area.
