Johannesburg - A man was killed on Sunday night when his house caught fire in Parkwood in Johannesburg, emergency services said.
Firefighters managed to stop the fire and removed the man's charred remains just after 19:00, said spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi.
It is believed the man, in his late 30s, lives alone at the house on Chester road, he said.
Mulaudzi said the cause of the fire was being investigated.
