The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

The SAWS web-site still display yesterday mornings weather warnings. (See date) Once again this cause confusion and uncertainty amongst the public. Even though there is no warnings, the SAWS should at least have the correct date displayed. Some might think this is really not important but as I have said before, information for Severe Weather Warnings must be correct, even if there is no warnings.
