Boy (3) drowns in Pretoria pool
A three-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool at a residence in Elandspoort, Pretoria North, this evening.
The cause of the incident and the series of events preceding it remain unclear and will form the subject of a South African Police Force investigation.
Common cause information suggests that the unattended child had fallen into the uncovered swimming pool. His body was discovered floating in the water by a resident.
Netcare911 Paramedics arrived at the scene to find the boys’ body at the poolside. The child was declared dead at the scene.
