JOHANNESBURG - Emergency officials are battling a fire at a factory in Cleveland, east of Johannesburg.
Although the cause of the blaze is not yet known - there are fears it may spread to more factories in the industrial area.
Firefighters from both the Ekurhuleni and Johannesburg municipalities were called to the scene.
Spokesperson for Ekurhuleni Emergency Management Services William Ntladi said flammable material inside the building was making it hard for the fire to be extinguished.
No workers were on site when the blaze broke-out, said Ntladi.
