The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many South Africans. To obtain critical weather information, the SAWDOS use voluntary weather observers. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe and informed by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the SAWDOS for publication on the Blog. The SAWDOS is a non-profit organization that renders a FREE COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICE.

MOSSELBAAI NUUSFLITS - ‘n Duin wat weens erosie besig is om mee te gee aan die seekant in Bayview is volgens inwoners gevaarlik omdat dit teenaan die ablusieblokke is en daar gereeld kinders en volwassenes in die omgewing is.
Volgens die woordvoerder van die munisipaliteit, Mnr Harry Hill, behoort die herstelwerk teen einde November 2012 voltooi te wees.
