Man killed by cane loader in Kwazulu Natal
A man was killed when he was run over by a farming implement in Camperdown, east of Pietermaritzburg this morning.
The cause of the incident and the series of events preceding it remain uncertain and will form the subject of a South African Police Force investigation.
Common cause information indicates that the man was part of a team loading the cane onto a truck when he was run down by the cane loader.
Netcare911 Paramedics arrived at the scene to find that the man had sustained critical injuries and was fighting for his life. He was rapidly stabilised at the scene and transported by ambulance to the Netcare St Anne’s Hospital where he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
