Last night's massive storm has led to flooding in areas in and around Durban.
Heavy rain and strong winds lashed parts of KZN last night, submerging some roads in Amanzimtoti and Umkomaas on the south coast.
There have been reports of collapsed trees across Goble Road in the city.
A resident from 'Toti has told Newswatch strong winds ripped off roof tiles from buildings, causing major damage to vehicles on the roads. Homes were also flooded, with some residents wading in knee-deep water in their houses.
A motorist who was driving in Hillcrest says she saw water shooting out of storm drains in the area.
She says a large pool of water collected on the corner of Old Main Road and Kassier Road - which she says looked like a dam.
Water levels in rivers have also risen, with a Mandini resident saying the Tugela River is in flood this morning.
There are also reports that a blocked drain on the on-ramp to the M4 southern freeway from the Bluff has caused a massive puddle of water across the road.
