DYSSELSDORP NUUS - Verskeie huise in Dysselsdorp was aan die begin van die week onder water en talle inwoners was genoodsaak om alternatiewe slaapplek te soek nadat 'n swaar bui reën uitgesak het en duisende rande se skade aangerig het.
Ses huise in die informele nedersetting Paradise View, het bykans 'n halwe meter diep in die water gestaan. In dieselfde omgewing is die water regdeur vyf huise en is groot skade aan huisraad aangerig. Nadat die reënbui wat sowat 45 minute geduur het opgeklaar het, was talle huise se vloere en erwe oortrek met 'n dik laag modder, voertuie het vasgeval en tuine is oorspoel.
Talle inwoners moes grawe gebruik om hul huise skoon te kry en by een erf het 'n kind se skoolboeke aan die wasgoedlyn gehang om droog te word.
