A woman was seriously injured when she was attacked by six dogs at a residence in Lyttleton, Pretoria, this morning.
The cause of the incident and the series of events preceding it remain uncertain.
Common cause information indicates that the woman had entered the premises while conducting business and was unaware of the presence of the dogs. She described how the animals latched onto her and pushed her to the floor. She was unable to specify the breed of the dogs but indicated that two were big and four were small.
She was transported by a civilian vehicle to a nearby pharmacy where staff called Netcare911 Paramedics.
Medics arrived at the scene to find her in a serious condition, in light of the location of multiple bite wounds. She was stabilised at the pharmacy and transported by ambulance to the Tshwane District Hospital.
